National Council of Hypnotherapy.  The NCH represents over 1800 hypnotherapy professionals within the United Kingdom.  It is committed to ensuring the highest possible professional standards amongst its members.

General Hypnotherapy Register.  The GHR is the largest professional register of hypnotherapists in the UK, representing 80% of the profession.

National Council of Psychotherapists.  The NCP is one of the longest established societies of its type in the United Kingdom, being formed in 1971 following the “Foster Report” on the statutory registration of psychotherapists. The NCP is a National and International Association of therapists to whom the public may confidently refer.

The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.  The APHP is an exclusive body, based in the UK but with world-wide membership, dedicated to maintaining a high standard of professionalism amongst its members.  All members are fully covered by hypnotherapist’s professional indemnity insurance and committed to ongoing training.

GQHP – General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice. Since the 1st August 2003, The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) has been awarding the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP) to suitably qualified practitioners.  The award is available to any hypnotherapist who has successfully completed a practitioner level training course (i.e. as acknowledged by the GHSC), is registered within the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and who maintains the requirements for such registration on an annual basis.

HS – Hypnotherapy Society. The Hypnotherapy Society is the fastest growing professional organisation for practising hypnotherapists in the UK today.  The Society has a panel of advisors drawn from medicine, academia and professional hypnotherapy.
